Each of the kids have had "their" show.
Aubrey loved Teletubbies.
Chloe' loved Barney.
Benton loved Thomas the Train.
Max loved Little Einsteins.
Each of those shows had visual stimulation or catchy music.
I understood the attraction.
Preston has found "his" show.
He loves Caillou.
Each morning at 7:30 he finds his happy place with a little milk and a little Caillou.
For that reason, and that reason alone, I like Caillou.
I have to say I just don't get it.
Why does this four year old boy have not a hair on his head?
Why does this four year old boy talk like a baby?
Why does he whine all the time?
Do the parents seem like flower children?
There's no visual stimulation and no catchy music.
What could possibly attract this baby to this show?
I'm stumped.

I totally agree! My 5 year old sometimes watches it and I can't figure out what is appealing to her! The parents are totally granola and Caillou's voice drives me crazy. I love that you posted about this.
Love the recent posts as well. I don't know how you do it all (and with style and patience) with 5 kids! I am so nervous for this little one to join us in January because I already struggle to keep things moving forward with 4 kids. I may need some coaching :-).
I couldn't agree more! His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me and we have had more than one conversation about his whining.
Glad I'm not the only one...Love the post.

I agree. We ended up banning Cailou in our house. Connor whined more as we watched this show. His voice and the parents. Wow!! Nice to hear that I was not the only one.
