Benton: Hey Aubrey, how do you spell the word spinach?
Aubrey: S - P - I - N - A - G - E
Mom: Aubrey, don't tease your brother.
Aubrey looks at me with a "I'm not teasing my brother" look.
Mom: How did you spell spinach?
Aubrey: S - P - I - N - A - G - E
Mom: That's not how we spell spinach.... we spell it...
(A few hours later while at the dinner table.)
Benton: Dad, how do you spell spinach?
Dad: (With conviction) S - P - I - N - I - C- H.
Family: (Giggle.)

i am glad other families don't know how to spell. thank goodness for spellcheck!!
"spinage" was not one of our spelling words in 4th and 5th! Perhaps I should add it to the list! :)
I love this. I was giggling and I had Greg read it. He didn't get it. He thought Britton spelled it right. :)
