Preston's Theatrical Debut

Our Stake is putting on the production of Savior of the World this weekend. Last night was the first show and there are two more performances today. They have done an awesome job!
Preston was originally asked to play the part of baby Jesus. Because he has become so obese, he was fired from the baby Jesus part and was recasted to the part of baby John the Baptist, who is technically suppose to be six months older. Presto did great! He slept through his entire few minutes on stage! I spend most of the first act walking the halls to get him asleep for his little moment of stardom!

This has been fun to be a part of. The sweet lady who plays Elizabeth really looks/acts like I would imagine Elizabeth to be like. Seeing a real baby in that part gives the added realness to the story. These important figures (Jesus and John the Baptist) were once small babies and had a family and grew up just like the rest of the world does. They, unlike us, were able to skip the refiners fire and proceed straight to greatness. That, to me, is pretty amazing.

(Savior of the World Bloopers and Blunders Post coming... Stay tuned!)

How fun it was to see our little "star" on the stage. I'm sure it's the first of many events to come.
