We live in an area where bikers come from all over to ride the hills. I have found myself regularly very irritated that they are consuming the streets and the cars have to slow down and wait while the bikers get their right-away. Specifically Saturday mornings, I swear the Tour de France has relocated to Ahwatukee and the entire peleton is coasting down Chandler.
I now have to eat my words as my sweet husband has taken up a new hobby. He is one of them. This morning was his first morning in clips and yes, he fell. No real blood to speak of, but over he went. Here he is... spandex and all!
May tomorrows ride be fall-less!

WELCOME! You now join the ranks in the biking widows club though I'm not sure you are official until Britt shave his legs. Now that you have Britt out there, you will soon be offering stray bikers water, helping them with their flats, and looking to see if you can identify your spouse among all those colorful jerseys and bike helmets. So many of our best friends have been biker buddies. Welcome to the club!
Can't wait to ride with you Britt. These kind of posts warm the heart...welcome to the world of skinnys, titanium (its the metal of choice) and endless adventures. And yes L, it is Le Tour on Saturdays - isn't it great!!!! -Ryan
Glad you posted...we will be EXTRA careful driving the streets on Saturday...because they are everywhere! Have fun and be safe!
Oh, Britt! My only request is that you don't call the dog catcher if and when Ellie chases you. Good luck!!
Matt will love to hear the story about him falling. The visual is quite funny. Running and biking has either gotten really popular the past couple of years, or I have been completely out of it for a long time!
He needs to start training for a race of some kind. That is so fun!
Marshall just got a bike this year also, although he doesn't have much time for biking. I do love the shorts. Do Britton's spandex have a padded bum? :)
That's awesome, Britt! And Lindsey, enjoy all the stories, there will be many. There's tons of great biking around here! You need to come and visit!
I have to tell you the story one day about Kody's first experience with "the clip in shoes"! It was a GREAT day for our WHOLE street except for Kody! Welcome to the world of Awesome Spandex and gear. Britton and Kody will have to go one morning!
You're looking good, Britton! Training for the next Thanksgiving Morning Triathlon?
