We Caved In!

For the past year, the kids have been wanting a trampoline. Britton and I both confirmed, "No Way!"

Benton, unlike the others, has asked DAILY if we could get one. We finally said (to get him to quit asking!), "If you raise enough money, we will let you buy one." So for the next months, he has been stealing everyone's change left on counters, snaking up any and all found coins in the sofa cushions and asking for jobs to do. He NEVER let it go. Here's the best part... Benton is our one that has a hard time settling down at night. So, we started telling him we would pay him a quarter or two each night if he would stay in bed once he was tucked in. IT WORKED! He was so serious about raising the money, he stayed in bed every time! (I know... bad parenting, but pregnancy and fatigue got the best of me!)

Well, the forces joined and they pooled their money together and look at the new addition we have in our back yard! The kids must have called Britton 15 times Friday afternoon asking when he would be home to put it together. They jumped until 9 PM, when they snuck their blankets out and fell asleep on the trampoline. We moved them inside one-by-one, only to have hear them outside in back jumping again at 6 AM this morning! Our neighbors are going to love us!

Yes... my kids are in their swimming suits. It's Spring Break and they were "daring" each other to swim across the pool today. Chloe' did it.

how fun! so does "daring" mean the pool is cold or that it is cold outside? i find either of those hard to believe! it was 40 out today and we thought it was spring!

our trampoline was a valentines gift for the kids, and it's been worth every penny! It's the best babysitter we've ever had!!!

What fun! Falling asleep on the trampoline is about as good as it gets when you are a kid. It is great that they all pitched in and earned this. Sounds fun.

If we would have only known we could have sent you ours! Great memories. Has Britton suggested moving it close to the pool so you can jump right in?

You guys have too much fun! Mexico, and now this! No wonder Britton is going gray! Matt is too! Aubrey is right, if he cuts it really short, it's a lot harder to see.
Trampoline's are so much fun. I remember during thunderstorms in Utah, my cousins and I would hide under the tramp until we could make a break for the house. Those were the days!

Ooooo, it's only a matter of time, isn't it?! Congratulations on that accomplishment! And good boy, Benton!
