A very sweet night...

We had a sweet experience last night. The kids had a first experience of preparing and feeding the homeless. There aren't many opportunities for young kids to be involved in such an experience here in Phoenix, but thanks to a contact through the Secrists, we were able to participate in a sweet experience... and plan to stay involved with this neat organization.

The kids made PB & J sandwiches and filled brown lunch sacks full of snacks and food items.

Here's the gang handing out the lunches... the Secrists, Ito and Worthen kids did a great job! Benton and Lleyton were very much into this... counting each bag that was handed out. It was very cute. It was a nice way to start a dialogue with the kids on how very blessed we are and the importance to share.

Thanks Secrists for the opportunity!

What a wonderful opportunity to teach the kids the importance of serving others. Lindsey, you truly are the WONDER WOMAN or is it SUPER WOMAN!:) I am always amazed with all you do and the events you have your kids involved in.
I hope you are feeling great. I bet the kids are excited for the new little Worthen on the way...what an exciting time for your family.
