February

February is my least favorite month of the year.
I say that lightly...
because during that month we celebrate the arrival of Chloe' and of course Valentines Day,
two of my favorite days of the year.
But the rest of the month isn't my favorite.
Why you ask?
Because it seems inevitably every February, the flu, cold, RSV
or some other nasty bug finds our home and passes through.
This year will be no exception.
This year... the stomach flu.
Even better than the flu!

Funny how March 1st rolled around and everyone went back to school.
I really think it a criteria to get through February each year.

Anyhow, despite sickness, we did have some note-worthy fun...
Britton and I headed off to the 80's party... looking frightful.
Valentines Day Breakfast.
We have a tradition each year...
Heart shaped waffles with the fixings.
Everyone gets a new swim suit for Valentines Day and a special love note from Mom and Dad.
Chloe' went roller skating with friends for her birthday this year.
Have any of you been to Skateland before?
If you haven't, don't.
Scary.
Our beloved Kindergarten teacher was a
nominee for Teacher of the Year this year.
We went to the big show to cheer her on.
Fred the Fish has died.
We think he was suffering from cancer or turrets.
He's been sickly for a few weeks.
As I didn't want him to suffer, I googled how to euthanize a fish.
The results were to chop his head off or fill his tank with Vodka.
Neither sounded kosher.
The fish benefactor, Taani, suggested I fill his tank with hot water and cook him,
like she did to her fish.
She said it was an accident....???
Rather, we let him suffer.
We're not good fish owners.

not going to lie... the fish information made me a little sick to my stomach. I think i would rather straight flush it than cook it.
:)
LOve the 80s outfits!

Oh No! I just booked Lex's Birthday party at Skateland. She wanted to have a rollerskaing party.

I have to agree, February seems drang on when battling the flu. We seem to keep catching whatever is going around. Bart and I have to stay away from both the new baby and Piper...torture!!

You and Britton look smashing in your 80's outfits!

I have flushed many fish. Cruel, I know.

Hope you all are on the mend!

Ha Ha!!!
So sorry about Fred the fish. If it makes you feel any better, the crab died a few weeks ago. We seem to be on a killing streak here at our house. I swear it was an accident.
This morning Hattie woke up with a small fever. Just as I thought we were all over with everything. Judging from the last few months, I think our family has absolutely no immune system. That or whatever viruses going around are ninja viruses.
