On the bus ride home from school...
A 3rd grade girl and classmate of Benton's pops up into the aisle as he is boarding the bus.
She sparks out a "You look stupid in those glasses! They are so dumb..."
Before Benton had a chance to respond,
Chloe' quickly comes up front behind him with a snarky 5th grade response of,
"Back off girlfriend. Sit back down and leave him alone!"
And the little girl sat down.
Yes!
(I thought silently to myself.)
I know the right answer of kindness blah, blah, blah...
But, who doesn't love a little "I got your back."
Literally and figuratively.
Silent high fives to the keeper of the day.

I love this story, I hope you guys took Benton and Chloe' to ice cream or something, I love it. Have hopes that my kids will stick together like that someday, I pray every day that they will be there when needed. Thanks for sharing!
