Yes, I am ashamed.

I went to the Mail and More place to mail off some packages today.  I went to this place instead of the Post Office because I was missing boxes and tape and truthfully, time.  I realize it is more money to send packages from these types of places, but the simplicity of one stop trumped finances today.  And, I had Preston in tow.  Say no more.

I had six packages to mail.  Three of them were boxed up, but no address or taping done.  The other three needed boxes and addresses and taping.  I'll admit it, I was a high maintenance customer.  I needed help.  On top of that, I had Preston in tow.  Say no more.

After realizing how many packaged I had and the state they were in, the man behind the counter quickly went from, "May I help you" to "Get out of here...now!"  After about 5 minutes of his truly abusive grunts, moans, evil glares and flippant replies, my top boiled over.  Who's the customer here?

I decided then and there I was no longer going to hurry and rush to help him help me.  Rather,  I took my time.  I wrote the addresses out in the nicest handwriting I could.  I fluffed the tissue inside each and every box until it looked simply perfect.  I changed my mind a time or two until I found the box that I liked best...for each package.  And the best part... I put Preston down and let him go to town on the box of peanuts sitting at my side.

Sometimes the holidays get the best of me.  Rather than the Christmas Spirit, I went for revenge today.  I know, I'm five.   Yes, I am ashamed.

Hey, what do you expect when you put a noncompliant salesman behind a sales desk?

Love it! I felt a little like that at Target today. Instead of packaging peanuts, Kate was dumping popcorn up and down the isles.
