I spoke with a friend today who shared their home is in foreclosure. She shared the intense health battles they endure every day. She shared the struggles they face.
I learned a friend has breast cancer today.
I spoke to a mother of a special needs child today. She wept as she recounted the unkindnesses her child has recently faced. The laughing, the pointing, the unkind comments, that come from both children and adults alike.
This all before 10 AM.
Clearly, I needed a morning devotional and this is how I got it.
My heart is heavy.
A good reminder that...
So many suffer.
So many have huge burdens to bear.
So often, we have no idea of the crosses they are carrying.

Papa and I have learned many lessons these past few months at the U5 Ward--but one of the most important has been the wonderful feelings and environment that come when people are nonjudgemental and accepting of one another. These young adults lead the world when it comes to being kind, caring, and loving to everyone. What a blessing it has been for us to rub shoulders with them!
