Preserving what?

Aubrey just completed her science project.
She tested what breads molded the quickest.
She used homemade, whole wheat, white, pumpernickel, rye, potato and sourdough breads.
She put them all in a warm, dark spot and let them sit for ONE month.
The results were astounding!
The homemade bread molded within three days.
The whole wheat bread molded a couple days after that.
The remainder of the breads....NEVER molded!
Talk about preservatives!
GROSS!

that is so funny! the daughter of a gal I work with did that last year -- and used some bread from Fresh & Easy! The F&E bread was moldy within a week -- the rest hadn't within 6 weeks!! so glad John works for such a great company and that they are looking out for what's best for us :) many others certainly aren't...

Moral of the story? You need to make us all homemade bread from now on.

Certainly makes it undesirable to eat store-bought bread, doesn't it? Good looking project, Aubrey!!
