Tonight was C-Bear's first competitive swim meet. She swims with the Sun Devils, Great program. Intense program. Preston and I were her cheering section tonight as Britton covered the other kids with another conflict. Between races, there is down time. I had a game and some snacks laid out on the towels to keep her entertained.
I noticed one by one a new friend would join Chloe' on the towels. I noticed her desire to include everyone she could. I noticed her desire to make all feel welcome and comfortable, to share anything she had. She is a friend to all. I so admire this quality about my Chlo-Bear.
For the record, Chloe's first meet was somewhat comical. She took fourth overall in backstroke. She got disqualified in breaststroke for only touching one hand at flip turn. She lost her goggles at take off in freestyle resulting in smacking her head, straight on, against the wall at a flip turn. Tough as nails tough, she finished and took fourth. That's my girl!
