Rooming next door to Jesse Jackson's new grandchild...
Trying to force myself into a wheelchair after surgery...
To go and see my new little girl.
Aubrey was taken to the NICU after birth.
She was hypoglycemic.
While there, the nurses got frustrated with Britton.
(Who was mistaken for the doctor because he was dressed in scrubs from the c-section)
Because he clearly was unable to get an IV into her.
We didn't know brand new father's were suppose to be equipped with that kind of knowledge?!
On this Happy Thanksgiving Day...
We celebrate the arrival of Miss Aubrey!
She is beautiful and sweet...just like the day she arrived. She is good and kind. She works hard and is organized. We adore and love her!
This week...
The Beehive class came over and decorated her room.
She got to have a birthday date with her Grami and Papa. They went shopping and out to dinner.
We still don't have much knowledge on raising this sweet thing... but are so grateful we've been given the chance to try! We love her! She is a blessing and a joy. We can't believe twelve years have flown by! Happy Birthday Sweet Aubrey!

Our dear Aubrey, we also cannot believe that 12 years have gone by so quickly. Papa and I remember that cold and windy day in Chicago when we walked from the Drake Hotel to the hospital where you were born just a few blocks away. The wind was blowing so hard we could hardly open the doors of the hotel. We had a quick Thanksgiving dinner at the Drake Hotel, but no one wanted to be away from you. Your life has been one of the choicest blessings in our lives. You are good and kind and loving through and through. We are so honored that you always hug us and tell us that you love us.
