Happy Birthday to our sweet Benton! We can't believe he is seven... heading to 2nd grade... and growing so much!
We took Benton out on a date night last Saturday night and he wanted to know details of when he was born. Britton did a sweet job of sharing the week when he was born. It brought tears to my eyes how much this little guy was watched over and protected. He doesn't appreciate the details, but I sure do.
In a nutshell...
I was in a terrible car accident 5 days before Benton joined our family. As a result of that car accident Benton came early. He wasn't done "cooking" as we like to call it! Through many miracles and blessings, Benton not only survived a scary delivery, he survived some premature issues and all that comes with that. There is not doubt this little guy is suppose to be here... being the eldest of 3 boys who will love and look up to him and the younger brother to two girls who need a little excitement in their lives!
So... without anymore delay...
10 things we love about Benton:
1. His warm and affectionate loves.
2. His sweet sensitivity, especially while I have been pregnant. Most concerned about how I am doing.
3. His gentleman qualities... working to open doors for others and serving others before himself.
4. His keen mind... ALWAYS asking questions and wanting more information.
5. His tender understanding of how blessed he is and how others in the world don't have all that he has.
6. His competitive edge... never a dull moment, especially when we say, "Let see who can _____ the fastest!"
7. His desire to please... wants those around him happy.
8. His true boy tendencies...
9. His sense of style... we like to call him "Captain Comb-over" when he does his own hair!
10. His strong sense of right and wrong... hope that one sticks!
